Regional Drawing Competition

My City, My Future: Making SAARC Cities Safe from Disasters

On the occasion of International Day for Disaster Reduction on 13th October 2010, a Regional Drawing Competition shall be held among the children  in the SAARC region in collaboration with the  UNISDR.
 

Objectives

  The objectives of the Drawing Competition would be to:

(a)    To create awareness among the students, teachers, parents and the public about the risks of disasters in the cities;

(b)    To provide an opportunity to the young minds to express their creative talents on a theme of emerging concern in the region; and

(c)    To promote regional cooperation among the people of the region.    

Target Group

The target group of the competition is children of the SAARC countries in the age group of 8-12 years.
